Clinical Supervisor
Heather Roy is a Clinical Supervisor at Progressive Steps Training and Consultation
Inc. In her role, Heather provides direct program implementation, training, supervision
and behavioural consultation services to clients and their families and ongoing
supervision and support to the Supervised Senior Therapists at Progressive Steps
Training and Consultation Inc.
Heather holds honours degrees in psychology and linguistics from the University of
Ottawa where she became interested in communication disorders and language
acquisition of children with Autism. She holds a Master of Education in Special
Education with a concentration in Applied Behaviour Analysis from the University
of Pennsylvania State where she focused on literacy, response to intervention
models (RTI), universal design, differentiated instruction, inclusive classrooms, and
school-based behavioural assessments.
When not working, Heather enjoys reading, trail running, bakeries and walking with her
dog.
