PEERS® Lite

PEERS® Lite is a streamlined, 7-week version of the PEERS® for Adolescents curriculum. Designed for motivated teens ages 11–17, this evidence-based program teaches essential social skills for making and maintaining friendships, as well as navigating conflict and handling rejection.

Teens attend 7-weekly group sessions.

Teens are taught social skills through didactic lessons and role-play demonstrations, and practice these skills during group socialization activities.

Following each 90-minute lesson, teens will have the opportunity to participate in unstructured social time with access to video games, board games and snacks.

Adolescents will learn:

  • Trading Information

  • Two-Way Conversations

  • Appropriate Sources of Friends

  • Appropriate Use of Humor

  • Handling Teasing

  • Starting and Joining Conversations

  • Exiting Conversations

  • Good Sportsmanship

  • Handling Disagreements

Groups are facilitated by Certified PEERS® Providers and supervised by a RBA

Please note: Some aspects of the original curriculum have been removed or revised to be in-line with our value of celebrating neurodiversity
